Sydney, Australia, March 23rd 2020 – We, at Mun Australia, have always prided ourselves on being a family-oriented company and, during these unprecedented times, have been taking measures to ensure our families and community are well looked after. On 6 March we introduced a policy stopping all in-person meetings with our employees, which will now continue until further notice. We have also implemented a stock allocation process for all purchase orders to ensure we can fairly and appropriately provide goods based on historical purchases. Again, this process will continue until further notice.
Mun’s Senior Management Team has been working tirelessly with our local and overseas manufacturers to secure extra supply of our glove, PPE and hand care products. However, with global demand for these products at an all-time high as well as production and international trade constraints, this has proven difficult. We will be continuing our daily engagement with our manufacturers in an effort to obtain more stock for you.
Last week, Mun’s head office started testing a work from home arrangement to assess our ability to continue normal operations and minimise any potential disruptions of our service to you. We are happy to say that we are satisfied with the results from this test and will be moving towards a complete transition of all head office staff to work from home as of 23 March, 2020.
In light of the NSW and VIC Governments’ decisions this week to shutdown all non-essential services, Mun’s Senior Management Team is working to ensure that any disruption to its business caused by this is kept to a minimum. Encouragingly, freight and logistics services are listed as exempt from these lockdowns. We will keep you across any developments that may arise from this decision.
While this rapidly changing period we all face presents many challenges, we would like to thank you for your ongoing understanding and support through it. Mun is committed to helping you to the best of our ability, and hope that you and your family continue to be safe during these difficult times.
Kind regards,
David Teng
Director
