Warning on Scams and Counterfeit Products Entering the Market

Sydney, Australia and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 18 June 2020 – Mun (Australia) Pty Ltd and Mun Global Sdn Bhd have been made aware of the existence of various scams stemming from the shortages of personal protective equipment (PPE) in Australia and Malaysia. Unauthorised parties are claiming to have access to PPE including GloveOn gloves and PrimeOn face masks in efforts to swindle money or sell counterfeit products to end users. The below provides further details into these fraudulent activities:

EXAM GLOVES

Unauthorised parties have been claiming to be affiliated with Mun or its parent company Hartalega, alleging they are involved in the sale and marketing of the GloveOn range on its behalf. As part of their claims, they are stating they can provide volumes of stock, photos and videos to support their claims, and fake documentation including test reports and certification. Please be advised that these claims are fraudulent, and Mun and Hartalega have NO AFFILIATION with these unauthorised parties.

Glove Scam Information

FACE MASKS

Face masks packaged in PrimeOn boxes have been appearing on social media sites claiming to be official product. Investigations by Mun have confirmed that these masks are counterfeit and SHOULD NOT be purchased due to uncertainty in their safety and quality.

When looking to purchase PPE from Mun Global, please approach Mun directly or contact one of the authorised distributors listed on our website.
